Beschreibung
Sh-Polypeptid-1 ist ein Zellsignalprotein, das auch Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor genannt wird und die Zwillingsschwester von Acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor ist. Wir können hier ziemlich dasselbe schreiben wie bei aFGF: Es ist ein mitogener (= stimuliert die Zellproliferation) Inhaltsstoff, der das Wachstum und die Proliferation von Fibroblastenzellen stimuliert. Laut Herstellerinformationen stimuliert es auch die Synthese von Kollagen und anderen Komponenten der extrazellulären Matrix (das klebrige Zeug zwischen den Zellen).
