Beschreibung

Stearamidopropyldimethylamin ist ein kationisches Tensid, das als Ersatz für Silikone in Haarpflegeprodukten verwendet wird. Es verbindet sich recht leicht mit dem (negativ geladenen) Haar und bildet einen glatten Film, deckt aber nicht wie Silikon. Es haftet an der Oberfläche des Stoffes und reduziert die vorhandene statische Elektrizität. Es handelt sich um eine Haarspülung, die sich im sauren Milieu in quaternäres Ammonium umwandelt. Aufgrund des unökologischen Herstellungsverfahrens ist der Inhaltsstoff in Frankreich nicht zugelassen, in Deutschland jedoch schon (BDIH).
