VIOLET (Viola) ist eine Gattung mehrjähriger krautiger Pflanzen der Familie der Veilchen, die etwa 500 Arten umfasst. Die getrockneten Wurzeln von Viola odorata (Viola odorata) werden verwendet, um ein extraktives Öl namens Veilchenblattöl zu erhalten. Viola tricolor, bekannt als Stiefmütterchen, hat heilende Eigenschaften. Die Wurzeln dieser Pflanze enthalten Alkaloidgeige, Saponine, das Gras enthält Vitamin C, Salicylsäure, Weinsäuresalze, Schleim. Im Auszug von F.t. enthält Schleimstoffe, Salz der Weinsäure, Salicylsäure, Vitamin C. Kosmetische Produkte mit diesem Extrakt haben eine weichmachende, heilende, antiallergische Wirkung, wirken positiv bei der Pflege von entzündeter und schuppender Haut, bei Akne.
